I know Christmas is beyond over & this post is WAY over due, but winter is now in full force and I can’t stop wearing this outfit! When it’s freezing outside, all I want to do is be comfy and bundled…. So if you’re in the same boat and need a cute go-to, cold weather outfit, here’s 4 cosy classics to pull you through!
TEDDY COAT
This is without a doubt one of the coziest coats I own…. Basically, it’s as close as you get to being wrapped up in a blanket, when you have to leave the house. If you need a warm option to throw on after work or on the weekends — this is your jacket. I found this teddy coat from TOPSHOP during Nordstrom’s Black Friday sale. Obviously with sales come really great prices, but it’s like the hunger games finding something you love, that’s also still available in your size. Thankfully, right now there are still a lot of end of season sales and like it or not, winter’s around for a while so everything’s is still wearable. HIGH RISE JEANS
The next comfortable winter staple that you can also transition into spring is a good pair of high rise jeans. During the work week I’ll dress up for events, meetings, and lunches, but because my work days are so versatile, jeans get thrown into the winter rotation a lot. I invested in this pair from RE/DONE because I love this fit and personally wear my denim through the seams, but you can also find some great jeans from Reformation or ZARA starting at $50!
THE TURTLENECK
The amount of Turtlenecks I own is almost embarrassing, but when it’s absolutely freezing, there’s nothing greater than a comfy, classic turtleneck. Pro tip — throw on a white tee underneath so you can de-layer once inside. Otherwise, look for options like this for Love and Lemons knit that are super comfortable and not itchy at all.
BOOTS
Basically a good boot will bring all of your winter looks together. It’s so easy to get stuck in the slump of being cold, and not want to put in the usual effort that we do when we’re glowing and full of vitamin d in the summer. A good suede or leather boot will liven all of your winer outfits.
