Y’all stick of me talking about maternity jumpsuits yet? You can forget my beloved gray “feels like pajamas but I can wear them out of the house” jumpsuit. Oh, and I’d even consider my Motherhood Maternity overalls in the jumpsuit family. There are few things in my closet that not only fit but are comfortable. So when something works, I clearly run with it. So as I continue my life in one-pieces, I wanted to share more tips on how to wear a jumpsuit when you’re pregnant. And today specifically I’m wanting to dress it up a bit. Because hey, you’ve got to leave the house at some point when you’re 8 1/2 months pregnant, right?

And let me just preface that I know not all my readers here at Poor Little It Girl are pregnant. Obviously. But right now, maternity fashion is my life. I’m no longer able to hide my bump and wear “normal” clothes. It was easy in the beginning but now, no way. Just look at that thing! But if you take out the word “pregnant” from the title of this blog post, you can still take these tips on how to wear a jumpsuit and ways to dress it up into your own, non-pregnancy fashion life and apply them. In any case, thanks for sticking with me through the final months of pregnancy and all my maternity fashion posts as I navigate how to incorporate this new aspect of my life in my regular PLIG content.

Find Your Own Maternity Jumpsuit
As I previously mentioned, I’ve been living in and loving one-piece wonders like this for the last few months as baby P continues to stretch and grow. If you’re a mom-to-be, I can’t stress enough how amazing these things are! So go ahead, start by buying just one and seeing how you like it. I’ve found a few great options under $100 that you’ll love!

Dressing Up A Maternity Jumpsuit
When you first see this H&M jersey maternity jumpsuit, you might not think it’s mean to be dressed up. But that’s so not true. It’s all about the accessories! No, you don’t need to add on a ton of sparkle or statement pieces (although if you like that look, click here!). I actually prefer minimal, simple additions to the jumpsuit that make an impact. Starting at the top, this wool felt hat is the perfect way to add a bit of sophistication to any outfit. Even the most casual of looks can go for a little hat action. (Remember my Target dress and sneakers look from my last trip to Charleston? I wore this same hat in the oatmeal color and instantly the look feels more elevated!)
Of course, if you ask me, any look is instantly dressed up when you add on a bold red lip! I’ve been wearing this NARS lip non-stop lately and it’s so sophisticated and classic. Speaking of sophisticated and classic, finish off any look that may feel a little casual with black pumps and you’re set! Isn’t it amazing how a shoe totally changed the appearance of this entire outfit? I also own these heels in nude because they’re that good! A bit of a splurge but I promise, worth it.
