Since diving right back into London life, work days have kept me on my toes! No day is ever the same, one of the elements in my “work life” that I’m extremely grateful for. One day a week, I dedicate to all things Erie Nick — Writing posts, shooting content, linking outfits, brand meetings, blogger events…. all the day to day blog management. The other side of my work life is dedicated to digital marketing, web development, and content curation for other bloggers and lifestyle brands. Some days I’m in an office, other days at client’s houses, the occasional cafe, meetings, and then my favorite — events, shoots, and fashion weeks.

While I can get by most work days in jeans, booties, and blouses, there’s always the need to have a few more professional pieces when it’s necessary to dress up. I always feel like my productivity correlates with how I dress… maybe just in my head, but I do what I have to do to maximize every work day. I recently shared some work dresses for winter… probably my most worn work staple, great for meetings, events, breakfasts, and office days. So while I’m on the work topic — another versatile, work outfit that I frequently throw in the mix is silk pants and a classic white blouse. To me it’s slightly more comfortable and a nice alternative when you want a break from tights — something I’ve gotten so dependent upon in London. It’s easy to style for lunch meetings, work days, and events, but also re-wear over the weekends when you’re savoring time off!

I just got these silk pants on sale from SANDRO (Linked below along with several other silk pant options). This blouse is one of my go-to’s originally purchased for Paris Fashion Week from Sezane — one of my favorite places to find classic, chic work staples.

Working in fashion gives me the luxury of having a bit of fun with my outfits. I try to keep things timeless for the most part because those pieces always end up being better long term investments. But to shake things up, especially in these drearier days of winter, I’ll throw in little pops for personality like a colorful coat or trendy shoe from Zara.

My greatest work investment has been my leather back pack — I have a more professional tote I carry for meetings and more office settings. But most days, I’m going from office work to cafes to shoots. So for me, it’s the ideal compact accessory to fit both my camera and laptop!
